News: 6 days agoRidley was unable to finish Wednesday's practice due to his right calf cramping up, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Spin: Ridley continued to demonstrate a strong rapport with rookie quarterback Cam Ward prior to his departure, which occurred near the end of practice. The No. 1 wideout held his calf after a play and left the field to be evaluated by Tennessee's medical staff, though wide receiver coach Tyke Tolbert confirmed Ridley was dealing only with cramps, per Nick Suss and Nick Gray of the Nashville Tennessean. While it's possible the Titans take precautions and give Ridley a rest day Thursday, the veteran wideout doesn't appear to be dealing with any actual injury. The 30-year-old is locked in as Ward's unquestioned top target this season, putting him in prime position to tally a third consecutive 1,000-yard campaign, with the hope of increased production due to improved O-line and QB play.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Ridley is back for his second season as the Titans' top receiver. His first season was solid, especially considering the team's QB issues, and he's now produced just over 1,000 scrimmage yards two seasons in a row. Ridley led the NFL in air yards (1,849) last season, which allowed him a few big plays and somewhat offset a big usage dip near the goal line (he scored eight TDs and led the NFL with 25 end zone targets with Jacksonville in 2023, but fell to five TDs and four end zone targets in 2024). Ridley has finished one season better than 18th in fantasy PPG (two better than 24th) and, while his positioning atop the depth chart in Tennessee keeps him in the WR3/flex mix, his upside will be determined by the play of No. 1 pick Cam Ward.
